Justin Potts

Justin Potts is a Portland, Oregon–based visionary artist whose work explores consciousness, perception, and the unseen dimensions that exist beyond ordinary sensory experience.

Working intuitively across acrylic, watercolor, ink, and mixed media, Potts approaches art-making as a process of discovery rather than control — allowing each piece to emerge improvisationally through instinct, curiosity, and mysterious guidance.

Primarily self-taught, Potts was inspired early on by his father’s artistic practice and his own mystical experiences. He grew up in Bucks County, PA and in 1996 moved to Sedona, AZ where his art expanded in dramatic ways and he began to show and sell his work in local galleries.

In 2004 he moved to Portland and began a new chapter of life and art-making. Since 2019, he has become known for live-painting immersive works at festivals and gatherings throughout the Pacific Northwest. He is a husband, a father, and a founding member of The Haven collective in Portland.
