Ian Love Covington
Portland OR
Ian Love is a mystic who makes music for the enjoyment and nourishment of the ever-expanding heart. His songwriting weaves together the influences of 60’s/70’s pop, folk, song circles, and the ancient tradition of the fireside jam to weave his unique expression of “medicine music”. His songs are written with the intention to remind us of our inherent belonging to the earth, each other, and all beings. He seeks to honor grief, uplift joy, and foster community resilience in these unprecedented times. He is based out of the Cascadia Bioregion, in what has been named Portland, OR. He’s often seen performing, frolicking, and following inspiration with his touring act, Family Mystic.
He believes in the power of music as medicine. His intention is to create sonic experiences that foster connection, balance, and harmony amongst all beings. Through his work, Ian aims to hold space for personal and collective transformation. He is a multi-instrumentalist, jazz vocalist, event-producer, cultivator of community, music teacher, perpetual student, multidimensional shapeshifter, and dreamer of a new earth—tending the fire of our hearts through music and community.
